Moving On Up... sorta.

As is the norm around here, more changes are taking place. The first and biggest change by far is making the switch from Wordpress to Blogger. This is not a change that I decided to make one day without putting any thought into. However, all advantages and disadvantages aside the biggest reason why this makes sense to me is the overall connection to Google. Anybody who knows me knows that I have accepted Google as my Lord and Savior. Essentially, since all of my devices run all of Google's Googles it would be stupid for me to leave my blog out on the sidewalk while the rest of my devices and apps enjoy the party.

This does unfortunately put me into what has begun to feel like a perpetual re-configuration state. Sometimes I just feel like I spend more time with setups and configurations than I do actually using the tools at my disposal. Hence, another reason for the switch. Hopefully this re-config process will go smoother and take less time because of the fact that I am just adding another Google piece of the puzzle. However, that does remain to be seen.

I am also in the process of building a bigger presence in social media, something that I have kept away from for the most part. Thing is, I feel like I am using social media in a manner in which follows part of it's original philosophy. Instead of using it as a tool to poke, prod, and otherwise inject myself into other people's lives or rather - the lives they want the world to see - I will use it as a tool for getting, sharing, and spreading news. Again.. original philosophy.

So as I stumble through this episode of my existence I will say this one more time - bear with me.. please. There is a lot to move, switch, transfer, etc.. and to be perfectly honest I am not yet sure that I am exactly thrilled with the layout of Blogger. Not to mention, I still have to redirect my domain over to this url and go through that exciting process. So some of this will take time and some of this will happen Quicker. Hopefully the one thing that will not suffer all too much is my writing. I will continue, through all of this, to add my content to the World Wide Web... man does it feel weird to say those three words today.
