Television Reviews and More....

Although it has never been something that I have written about for public consumption, I have thought about it over the last week. What I have decided was that it would be in my best interest as well as the best interest for the visitors of this blog for me to offer up some television show reviews and discussion. Not movies, television. Now I am more than well aware that there are  more of these sites than either of us can count. I am ok with that. I do not see them as my competition, and as a matter of fact I am not out here trying to compete with anyone.

A blog in it's simplest form is essentially a journal. A journal that is available to the public. This means that there is a substantial amount of personal opinion, wants and needs, and various other things that can be directly related back to the author. Over the last decade bogs have taken a bit of a different form. The lines between true website and a true blog have blurred. Today it is much harder to tell the difference between what is meant to be a blog and what is a website. So what is my point?

My point is that over the last year I have treated this blog, this piece of me in the public space, as a testing ground. I have treated it as a place for me to throw ideas around or as a placeholder for various projects that I have planned on completing. It has also been a place for which I can try and promote myself. To promote my writing or some of my short stories. All of these things never really panned out as I had initially hoped they would. That is all my fault of course. I would start something here that was actually a good idea and something that with the proper effort behind it could work. The problem was, is, that I have been entirely too busy to keep up with it due to my other obligations. In other words, trying to bring money into the household has taken precedence over what has been happening here. As well it should have.

Regardless, I still should have put some more effort into making this place a bit more dynamic. So, that is what I intend to do now. I will still be working on my writing projects that actually bring money in but I will manage my time much better so that I can put the required amount of time and effort in here. That is going to start with a new section devoted to television shows. I realized something as I was looking at some things and a couple potential job opening in various places. What I realized was that all of the things that I am interested in can all be basically placed under one sort of vague category.

So... I am not sure as of this moment exactly how the layout will be for this. For the time being I might just make a post here or there about these topics and organize them under an appropriate label. But eventually I will have this all separated organized nicely. I appreciate the patience and support that I have gotten from most of you over the last year and I hope that I can continue to bring at least a little bit of knowledge and information to you.

Thank you!

Sony Reveals the Playstation 4 and Shows Why Assasin's Creed Sux!

Playstation 4 Makes It's Long Awaited Debut!

Well, it only took a few hours of sitting on the couch biting our nails, but we were finally graced with the PS4's presence last night. We were given a glimpse of what the console will look like along with some information about the games that will be released. Sort of. We even got a preview of what a couple developers will do when a game tends to lag a bit.. they shrug. Wow, they are just like us.

Aside from the disappointment I felt from not seeing anything Metal Gear I was really happy to see what they are going to be giving us as customers. It seems that Sony really does care about us after all!

"See M$.. we told you they did! What did you give the people? Nothing but more DRM fascism!"

I will admit, I was very upset to see that the Xbox One debuted their system with Metal Gear: The Phantom Pain and the PS4 showed nothing. They even had Kojima at the event! What does that say about our chances of getting anything MGS exclusive? Nothing good I can tell you that! I'm sorry but that is the one game that I was waiting for and hoping for. I was even considering the unsettling voices in my head that were telling me,

"go ahead.. buy a Xbox One when it comes out. It is the only way to get MG: The Phantom Pain!"

But after some more careful thought and after talking to my son, the ultimate Playstation fanboy. I realized that buying an Xbox One would only upset the balance of the Universe and then it would be all my fault when we crashed into the Sun. I could not have the death of everyone on planet Earth on my head. No way. Not for this. I would have to find another way to ease my pain... my phantom pain!

Content Page Now Live!

I have promised this in the past and I have finally had the time to put it up. The content page is finally listed on the blog! What does this mean for you? Well, unless you are someone in the need for content, nothing. However, if you run a blog or website you may need some more content to fill some of your pages. Even if you have a magazine or newsletter, this content works well for that also.

Essentially the content are articles that I have not sold anywhere else. Much of what I write professionally is done based on requests from clients of the companies that I work for (on a freelance basis). Sometimes however I write articles that go into a pool that customers can pick through. Or sometimes the article that I have written just does not fit what the client was looking for. That does not mean the content is no good. It just did not have a place in their world. And that being the case, why should I waste perfectly good articles? Especially after taking the time to research and write them.

The articles are listed on the Content For Sale page in the navigation bar up top. Take a look and see if there is anything that interests you. You can click on the title for a quick sample of the piece.

If you are in the market for articles or other content and you do not see what you are looking for on that page shoot me an email anyway. I would be happy to write something with your special topic or set of keywords. We can always work out some sort of deal. I have standard prices that I charge when I work with various websites and I would give you the same deals. I am not out to rip anybody off, just to work.

Any questions, feel free to let me know. My email is always listed in the right-hand sidebar.

Enjoy!

Would You Like To?

I write a number of article on a number of different subjects. Most of the work that I do is to make money. I write articles for people who need them for various reasons. Their intent is not my concern. My only concern is what they will pay me for the work that I do. Such is the life of a Freelance Author. I will say however that a couple years ago I did not think it was possible to work with various websites and actually get paid. Of course I found out that it is possible and for approximately 2 years I have been working for a couple of those websites.

The common thought here is scam. People today always think scam first and foremost. And why not? There have been plenty of them lately and many of them have taken advantage of people to such a degree that they lost everything. If they have not lost it all financially then they lost their trust in humanity. Or at the very least their trust in people who offer things on the Internet. Yes, that is a much more specific way to look at it.

I have never had the intention of ever hurting anybody. It is not in my nature. I am a family man. Husband and father of three. Four if you count my Boxer (and why not, dogs are family too). I have been through my fair share of hardships and as a matter of fact, I am still working my way out of that dark chasm. It has never been easy and I do not anticipate it getting any easier in the near future. I have made mistakes, repaired burnt bridges, and made the same mistakes over again (sometimes). But, as many of us do I have learned a great deal from those mistakes and the other various paths I have been on throughout my life thus far. I am a much better man for it to be honest.

The things that I have been involved in lately have gotten me to a point where I feel like there is still a chance to do something that I have wanted to do for a very long time. That is, to work for myself and not be in a position where I must take orders from other people. Not that I am incapable of doing such things. I used to be a great manager of people. I was a great leader no matter what role it was in. IN order to lead you must know how to follow, and I was great at both.

So now I am trying to lead myself through the hardships that life has brought to my doorstep. So far it has been a struggle but I can see that it is working. However slow it may seem, it is working. So I must continue and in order to do that I must take advantage of the opportunities I have in front of me. Right now, that is writing. I also have the opportunity to start a small group of like minded people who will also have the same opportunities as I. Let me explain in a little more detail with a little less vague vocabulary.

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. In the sense of a written article, essay, or post if that article happens to have a certain amount of keywords that can be tracked, the website containing said article will slowly rise higher in the rankings that Google uses to determine which sites show up where on its search results pages. So, people pay me to write articles about various subjects that contain a certain density of keywords in order to help their sites rise in the rankings a bit.

That is a general summary of some of what I do. Another side of it is ghost writing. That is simply writing for someone because they do not know how to or do not have the skill to put words together in such a way that they flow for the reader. Or maybe they just do not like writing. There are some things that certain people just cannot stand to do. For some, writing is one of those things. So they will hire a ghost writer to write posts for their blogs or write a book that they want written. There are various reasons why someone would want to do something like that. It is not my job to ask why, but rather to ask what. "What do you want me to write?"

Sometimes I write for a company that manages such article requests for their clients and sometimes I write directly for people who need the articles. There are different ways to get in contact with these people and various ways to work out the details. I am in the process now of figuring out a nice smooth way for me to do that on my own in an effort to increase my workload and in turn, my business. I would like for some of you to come along. That is, if you want to and if you are talented enough to.

If you care to learn more then by all means send me an email and I will reply with a short series of questions that will in all actuality be a test of weather or not you have the skill and talent required. This is serious and in no way a joke. This is about growing my business and maybe growing our business. So if you take these things as seriously as I do, then shoot me over an email and we can get started.

I eagerly await to meet you all.

Prelude to one of my short stories.

Hello all. This is a very short introduction to a short story that I am writing. It is part of a larger series and a part of my novel to come later. This is a quick introduction to one of the species/races in the story. They are called the Carinians. More to come soon.

Enjoy.

They have all come to pray to their Lord. To ask their God for favor, forgiveness, and fortitude. They come in droves because they have been given no hope elsewhere.

They fear all that they cannot see, no matter how clear the signs. They all seek salvation. Each one of them cries for it nightly. Begging their God and willing to give anything for it, even their soul.

But to who do they pray? For they cannot see their God. In the past they would claim that they could feel his presence. They could hear his words. But no more. Why has he forsaken them? Have they sinned beyond all hope of redemption? They fear what tomorrow brings.

They have faith in their God. Faith that he who has given them life shall return to them and save them from this evil. They continue to have faith purely out of fear now. Fear for what they do not know or understand.

Fear has pushed them to this. It is this fear that is more powerful than emotion, than feelings, then morality. Fear has become more powerful than love. It is fear that has closed their ears to hear the cries of those they will sacrifice. It is fear that has closed their minds to what truly must be done.

They act out of fear and it is for this that they will suffer. At their own hand.

Where To Get Paid For Writing Online

Making Money Online

Many people, including myself, have looked for ways to make money online. Why? Well, it is rather simple really.. if you are making money online, chances are you are doing it from home. Isn't that much easier than going out every day? Rising up early in the morning just to drive off to some office somewhere knowing your work.. your hard work is not really and truly appreciated? That is the general though anyway.

Working online can give those doing it a feeling of running your own business. It is more than a feeling actually, if it is done right that is exactly what it can be. So then how does one do it right? There are plenty of "do it yourself" sites out there that will attempt to tell you how. But sadly many of them are just as much a scam as the rest of them. So what is someone to do?

Writers Beware

Are you a writer? There might be many of ways to start a business or even start on online, but this is not one of those articles. This is aimed at the writers out there. The freelancers. The people who want to get paid for their craft. So what does one do? Start with one of the many "Get Paid To Write" websites? Well.. actually.. yes. Problem is there are good ones and bad ones. Just like anything else in life. You just need to find the right ones.

Where To Start?

This is not meant to be a long and drawn out explanation of what to do. Nor will this turn out to be a long list of websites. All that will get you is a lot of wasted time looking through websites and registering for accounts and writing sample articles. All that time wasted. All that time for nothing. Instead.. let me give you the value of my experience and my wasted time.

You are going to ask yourself, why should I listen to you? Well.. because I have been there before. I have been in your position. Looking for ways to make money doing what I do best. And all I got for most of my time was nothing. Only a few sites panned out and those are the ones that I still write for. I just want to help you get where I am. And I will be honest.. I do get a small reward. If you join the sites that I use and register under my recommendation I will get a small "finders fee" of sorts. The same that you will be entitled to after you join and find someone to join with your recommendation.

What Now?

There are many sites out there that promise the world. Just a quick Google search and you will see. Let me tell you the ones that work and the ones that don't. Now remember, these are the sites that everyone else reports as "legit" and "great site to work with" and all that.

Articleteller.com They are a good site but their problem is that the clients they have are not honest. I have found that even after posting a couple articles that followed the instructions as posted by the clients, they were rejected. The reason... "did not follow instructions". While I just recently started with this site, I fear that the clients there may be rejecting articles and still using them. But by rejecting them they do not have to pay. On top of that, the staff of the site is rather unresponsive. Not a good sign when you want to run a legit business.

Triond.com / Infobarrel.com / Sponsoredreviews.com All of these utilize Google Adsense for revenue generation. Not that it is a bad thing mind you, but Adsense can be a bit quirky at times. There are people who get banned from the service for strange things that are often times out of their control. If you are someone who has a good relationship with Google Adsense then by all means try one of those sites. If not however, I would suggest moving on to somewhere else.

London Brokers/AMS Writers This is actually where I spend a majority of my time. While the work can take some time because it is of the rewrite variety, they pay well and they always pay on time. There are no hidden gimmicks and nothing that will be promised and then ripped away. Out of the sites that I have tried and I have tried a lot, they are by far the best yet. If you do sign up use this link to do so.. it will be a tad easier and I will get credit for the referral. Never hurts to help a brother out. We can network together and at this point I trust you understand how powerful a good network can be?
